Friday, February 3, 2012 at 01:29 PM#11 joewood, so, what you are saying is, the Scots education system is parodied on the English education system of 400 years ago! Thanks for the support joewood; have you ever thought of being a Labour politician?

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 01:26 PM#10 Trump'ton, the SNP Scottish Government, (after intense and rigorous research, investigation, and consultation), have recently concluded that they need to completely abolish the previous UK Westminster-led education system in Scotland, because it is counterproductive. And, up until now, (because we've been tied-to the Westminster education syllabus), Scotland has been fettered with, and yoked to, the counterproductive Westminster education system; whether by direct UK Westminster-led education syllabus policy, or by unionist Labour scottish executive sycophancy with said UK Westminster-led education syllabus policy. The SNP has realised the UK Westminster-led education policy has been horrendously counterproductive to a good Scots education, and are now abolishing it, and instituting a 'Curriculum for Excellence'. Therefore, up until this change by the SNP now, by any means necessary, the unionists are to blame for the education of Scots children up until now. Now, that's not difficult to understand is it?

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 09:57 AMThe cartoon is 'anti-funny'! Blackboards, teacher’s capes and a cane - did your 'cartoonist' go to a public school perhaps, or is the Scotsman just living in another century?

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 09:54 AM#3. The use of "just" is correct usage in the English of Shakespeare. English is a remarkable language both for the number of ways the same thing can be expressed, and for the number of uses that any one word can have. Amongst its many meanings, "just" can mean either "accurately" or "approximately, but the native speaker will usually know which one from the context. In this case "just" means "only", as in "that is all I was doing", and is used to signify that whatever comment was said does not justify the Nationalist tirade that comes in reply. It will be interesting to see whether Nationalists manage to hold back their tirades in reply to this post, and picks on the observation that Nationalists seem to brook no dissent, and just (meaning only) belittle and browbeat their opponents. !

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 09:51 AM#3 "Only a unionist education system would teach Scots that" 'just disagree' is grammatically incorrect, but since when is it the fault of unionism? Is the impending cold weather tha fault of unionism too? If in doubt, blame it on the unionists? This country of mine could be great if independent and rid of nationalist extremists with a chip on their shoulder.

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 04:53 AMUnfunny, badly drawn, and crass imagery. Seriously, with so many people unemployed couldn't the Jocksman find anyone with a modicum of talent?

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 04:26 AMIn modern parlance, a cartoon is supposedly funny andor humerous. This alleged cartoon is not. Then again, what else would we expect from the English owned and run Hootsmon?

Friday, February 3, 2012 at 04:06 AMThis cartoon is grammatically incorrect; you can't "just disagree", either you disagree, or you agree; a closed question is not open for justification. Therefore, the word "just" is incorrect grammar. Only a unionist education system would teach Scots that; and it's been Labour teaching all out kids this type of rubbish education. Therefore, Labour's Johann Lamont is anti-Scottish.
