Now that the referendum is thankfully over, can we get back to normal and fix the roads?
The terrible state of our roads, notably in Edinburgh, is easily the most important issue facing our country and wasn’t even mentioned in the campaign. Can we please stop wasting money on social engineering and spend it on fixing all the potholes – properly, with a full resurface.
And why not build a toll road to dual the A9, A1 and A702? This could then free up money for rail improvements, as they do in France. Oh, and we already have the powers to do this at Holyrood so we don’t need to waste millions more on constitutional tinkering. Now that would be a “New Scotland” worth voting Yes for.
