Thanks for an 'amazing' gift
A WOMAN who received a kidney transplant on Christmas Day after a ten-year wait has said she never believed the day would come.
Isobel Urquhart, 43, got the call on December 25 to say a match had been found and she could go ahead with the surgery at the ERI.
Now that the transplant has taken place Mrs Urquhart, from the Highlands village of Muir of Ord, is preparing for her first holiday since the procedure with husband Duncan, 45 and children Alexander, 22, and Keri, 16.
She added: "I have been given my life back. It is amazing."
