Texts to fight off meningitis
A CITY-BASED charity is sending out text messages listing the symptoms of meningitis to help the fight against the disease.
The Meningitis Research Foundation has set-up the service so people can have a list of symptoms at hand if they are worried about the disease.
Thirty people every year die from the infection in Scotland, while 75 are left with disabilities or amputations.
MRF Scotland manager Mary Millar said: "Saving the symptoms to your phone will put life-saving information at your fingertips."
