Teens robbed by knife-wielding mugger
TWO teenagers have been threatened at knifepoint in broad daylight by a mugger who stole their new trainers, computer kit, cash and mobile phones.
The two boys, aged 13 and 14, were followed to the Fountainbridge area after a shopping trip yesterday afternoon.
One of the boys had been spending money given to him for his birthday.
They were forced to hand over 160 worth of shopping, 55 in cash and a mobile phone by a man who told them he would stab them if they shouted or resisted.
The youngsters handed over their goods, but one of them hid his mobile phone and called the police after the attacker fled.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
