A TEENAGER has been arrested and charged with an alleged rape in Dundee city centre two weeks ago.
The Tayside Division of Police Scotland launched a manhunt on 13 November following a serious sexual assault on a woman in a private car park in the city’s Murraygate.
The 33 year-old woman had been out in the city centre when she was approached by a man and allegedly raped in the car park behind the Déjà Vu Nightclub.
Her attacker was said to have left the area riding a black and silver bicycle following the sexual assault.
A spokesman for the Tayside Division of Police Scotland said today: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 19 year-old local man has been charged in connection with an incident in Dundee City Centre on Wednesday, 13 November, and a report is being submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“It is expected that he will appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday.”
