TB cure 'five to ten years away'
SCIENTISTS are five to ten years away from finding a cure for tuberculosis, researchers at the University of Leicester said today.
Academics have identified two proteins in the TB bacterium they believe allow the disease to thrive in white blood cells.
They believe that now they have isolated these molecules within the disease, it will be possible to find a drug that can effectively fight them and produce a cure for TB.
