Tattoo earns royal stamp
THE Edinburgh Tattoo will be performing to royalty when the King of Tonga visits tomorrow night.
King Siaosi Tupou V will be greeted by Tonga's Royal Corps of Musicians when he arrives at the Castle Esplanade along with the Tattoo's chief executive and producer, Major General Euan Loudon.
It marks the first occasion a sovereign from the South Pacific has attended Scotland's annual showpiece military event. King Tupou will visit the castle earlier tomorrow, where he will be shown the Scottish crown jewels and the National War Museum.
