Tartan ribbon chocolate is sweet taste for charity
A TARTAN ribbon chocolate created to raise money for a charity supporting people affected by HIV is being relaunched in time for Christmas.
Scotland's leading HIV charity, Edinburgh-based Waverley Care, has again teamed up with Plaisir du Chocolat to produce the unique brand. The popular chocolate was originally created earlier this year and launched at Easter to help raise funds for the charity.
One pound from every box of four chocolates sold is being donated to Waverley Care.
David Johnson, director of Waverley Care, said: "We have closely followed the fortunes of Plaisir du Chocolat in recent months and are delighted that they are now firmly back in business and strengthening their relationship with Waverley Care.
"The Tartan Ribbon Chocolate is an exciting marketing project and we hope many people will support us by buying the chocolates as Christmas gifts." The chocolate company, with chef Bertrand Espouy at the helm, was also one of the sponsors of Waverley Care's Champagne et Chocolat Ball, held at Prestonfield House to mark World Aids Day on December 1.
The ribbon chocolates are available from Plaisir du Chocolat's new boutique in Thistle Street and via www.plaisirduchocolat.com
