Talk will lift lid on history of Scotland
THE next event in the Edinburgh Lectures 2009/10 will take a behind-the-scenes look at the BBC series A History of Scotland.
Historians Mark Jardine and Catriona Macdonald will join BBC producers Neil McDonald and Richard Downes to debate the issues involved in presenting Scotland's history.
Presented by the Open University, the session at The Hub on Wednesday at 6.30pm will use clips from the programmes to illustrate how the series was devised.
Lord Provost George Grubb said: "This will be a real treat for the audience, who'll be given an exclusive and revealing behind the scenes look at how the series was made."
