T in the Park 2009: Follow the festival on our live blog

SCOTLAND'S biggest music festival T in the Park gets underway this evening with a headline set from American rockers Kings of Leon on the main stage.

An estimated 85,000 fans are converging on the site at Balado near Kinross in expectation of a bumper weekend of live music, featuring the likes of Blur, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Lily Allen and The Specials.

Local health authorities have warned that anyone displaying symptoms of swine flu could be turned away at the entrance, but the good news is that the weather is expected to stay mainly dry and sunny for the weekend.

Writers from The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and scotsman.com will be out and about at the festival, and you can follow all our updates on the live blog.

We will be publishing directly from the crowd via Twitter, and all our news, reviews, pictures and videos will be featured here as well.

The full line-up is here, and you can follow our T in the Park coverage on Twitter here.
