Swine flu rate is too low to report

LOCALISED rates of swine flu will no longer be reported by health bosses in another indication that the H1N1 infection is on the way out.

The Scottish Government has issued figures by health board area on a weekly basis.

But that has now ended after it was decided that the most recent numbers were becoming too small to provide any significant evidence.

Critics say that it was not a true record of the virus because GPs were only reporting those who thought they had flu-like symptoms.
