Swine flu on the way out
THE current wave of swine flu across the Lothians has begun to fall, latest figures have shown.
Around 300 people in the area contacted their GP with flu-like symptoms last week.
However, very few of those would actually have had the H1N1 virus, the Scottish Government has said.
The downward trend suggests, for now at least, the infection is on its way out of the area.
However, health chiefs have long warned that the possibility of a more severe wave coming later in the year is a distinct possibility."
