Suu Kyi party: Don't stop sanctions
The party of Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has said western sanctions should remain in place, arguing that the embargo affected the military regime and not the broader population.
The announcement yesterday by the National League for Democracy will be a blow to both the ruling junta and western investors.
