Suspicious package delivered to Cowdenbeath FC

POLICE were called to Cowdenbeath Football Club today after a suspicious package was delivered.

Officers were sent to the Fife club this morning.

The club, who play at Central Park, Cowdenbeath, Fife, said they would not be commenting at this time.

A spokesman for Fife Constabulary said: "We can confirm that officers were called to Central Park, home of Cowdenbeath Football Club, in relation to a suspicious package which had been delivered to the address this morning.

"Initial police resources at the scene have now been stood down."#

Cowdenbeath, whose chairman is ex-Rangers director Donald Findlay QC, were recently relegated to the Scottish Second Division.
