Susan Boyle could be set in stone

PLANS for a statue in honour of Britain's Got Talent singing sensation Susan Boyle have won West Lothian Council support.

The council believes the statue could be a tourist attraction, after thousands of overseas visitors flocked to her birthplace.

Sculptor Tom Church, who created Stirling's William Wallace statue, said he is keen on the idea, adding: "Susan is Scotland's wee Braveheart and I would love to set her in stone."
