Heroin haul found in raid

HEROIN worth £27,000 was recovered by police during a raid on a property in Currie.

Police seized the drug haul during the operation, which took place yesterday morning.

In addition to the drugs recovered during the search, nearly 3000 in cash was also confiscated.

Two men, aged 45 and 62, and two women, both aged 28, have been charged in connection with alleged drugs offences.

All four are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
