Stuckey & Murray's Mythical Fornication

UNDERBELLY (VENUE 61)

MUSICAL comedy is tricky, but American duo Andy Stuckey and John Murray get almost everything right: great timing, goofy expressions, some genuinely catchy mock-country rock tunes, and even a bit of technical flair to boot (they interchange seamlessly between guitar, banjo and ukulele throughout).

It's the one-dimensionally puerile lyrical content that lets them down. Literally every song is a predictable tale about - you guessed it - sex, be it with unicorns, old people, or even (perhaps appropriately) each other. Great stuff, in short, for 15-year-olds and Nuts readers.
