Strike forces Scotrail to reduce services
FIRST Scotrail today announced a reduction in services during this week's planned 48-hour strike by supervisors and signalling staff.
Hundreds of workers have voted to strike between noon tomorrow and noon on Friday.
Both frequency and capacity will be cut during the action after the morning peak tomorrow, with normal service not resuming until evening peak-time on Friday.
Mary Dickson, First ScotRail's managing director, said: "We are providing as many services as possible in difficult circumstances."
Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street services will be half-hourly from 11am tomorrow and the last service returning will be at 6pm. The last Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street service will run at 5.45pm tomorrow and Thursday.
