Stress soars in UK workforce
FRESH evidence of the growing stress faced by UK workers is revealed by a new study showing that nine out of ten adults suffered problems linked to credit crunch worries, job cuts and increased workloads.
A survey of 1,000 workers showed that men were more stressed than women, feeling more insecure in their job and having little confidence in business leaders.
About 7 per cent of workers who raised concerns about stress levels with their managers reported that they were ignored, with only one in 20 being offered help.
