Store rapped over children's 'skinny' slogan T-shirt
AN ONLINE store has come under fire for marketing a T-shirt for youngsters with the slogan, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!"
Zazzle, a sales platform for manufacturers to sell their own designs, was branded "irresponsible" for promoting an unhealthy body image in children.
A total of three complaints were made about the advert, which appeared in April, claiming the T-shirt could cause harm to children by promoting the idea of being underweight.
The Advertising Standards Authority upheld the complaint, saying: "Because we considered the ad could condone or encourage an unsafe practice or result in physical, mental or moral harm to children, we concluded that it was irresponsible."
