Squirrel's eye views for visitors to trails

A NEW adventure playground opening in Aviemore next week will give a squirrel's eye view of the Cairngorms National Park.

Situated on the historic Rothiemurchus Estate among the towering Caledonian pine trees, TreeZones' two courses take visitors up to 40 feet off the ground through the forest canopy.

The courses open on 27 March and feature rope bridges, Tarzan swings and a 100-metre, zip wire finale.

It was also announced this week that the Nevis Range centre near Fort William is opening a series of high rope trails on Aonach Mor which will give visitorschance to see "the most spectacular views in Scotland", claim the trails' creators.
