Spotlight on male cancer
A MAJOR awareness campaign about the dangers of prostate cancer will be launched in West Lothian, after figures showed the number of cases there was rising.
Over the last 12 months, 200 men in West Lothian have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In response, the NHS and the Prostate Cancer Support Group are setting up a range of events to increase awareness.
An open meeting in the Macmillan Centre of St John's Hospital has been organised for November 14, and it is hoped to stage an awareness week in March next year.
