Sports pavilion to get kitted out in makeover
POLWARTH Park sports pavilion in Prestonpans is to be refurbished after a £357,000 contract was approved.
The pavilion is used by a variety of amateur and youth football teams, as well as the Preston Village Cricket Club.
Councillor Paul McLennan, East Lothian Council's community wellbeing spokesman, said: "The council recognises the importance of sport and recreational opportunities, and we are committed to providing facilities to support local teams.
"The announcement is in addition to the 2.5m contract agreed last autumn to provide five new sports pavilions across the county, which will offer a range of modern changing and social facilities for community and sports groups."
