Six people killed in 46-car pile-ups
SIX people died and 72 were injured in almost simultaneous pile-ups in opposite lanes of a major Portuguese highway.
Some 46 vehicles were involved in the accidents a few hundred metres apart late on Monday amid a spell of unseasonal rain and mist on the A25 highway, about 150 miles north of Lisbon.
