Sir Tom Hunter receives honorary degree
SCOTS businessman and philanthropist Sir Tom Hunter was yesterday given an honorary degree from Edinburgh University.
The multi-millionaire entrepreneur, who is originally from Ayrshire, made his fortune after setting up and selling his first business, Sports Division, for 290 million in 1998, when he was 37.
Sir Tom picked up the award at the McEwan Hall, in Bristo Square.
