Sikhs parade through Leith
THE Sikh community of Edinburgh will mark a significant day in the religion with a march through Leith.
Hundreds are expected to turn out for the procession on April 20 to mark Vaisakhi, which is one of the most significant holidays in the Sikh calendar.
The annual event will begin at 10am with a religious service before the parade makes its way through the streets of Leith until 1.30pm.
It will be followed by meals and presentations will then ensue.
Much of the event will take place indoors at the Gurdwara on Leith's Sheriff Brae.
