SHAKESPEARE is cut and pasted and transported to the present-day pop-world where coke is currency and violence reigns. This bizarre conception vaguely follows the narrative of Twelfth Night, but Cesario is known as Cezzar, Lady M takes a surprising role, and Olivia is presented as a Paris Hilton-esque diva equipped with clutch-bag and large shades. A curiously arch and charmless delivery is broken only by some awful snippets of soul and rap. The bard is not the only one lost in translation.
