A SECOND teenager has died in hospital after the car she was in left the motorway and landed in an embankment.

Three people were travelling in the car on the M90 in Perthshire when the accident happened at about 10.45pm on Monday.

Jamie Scott, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services, while the other two occupants of the black Ford Fiesta were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

Megan Black, 17, from Letham, died in hospital last night and a 19-year-old man remains critically ill, police said.

Ms Black’s family have been informed and asked that their privacy is respected.

The eastbound carriageway of the road was closed for around 12 hours while officers investigated the scene of the crash.

Police still want to talk to any witnesses and ask anyone with information to contact them on 101.
