Zombies on prowl for fresh student meat

STUDENTS at Heriot-Watt University will be treated to a zombies and survivors scavenger hunt game as part of 
Freshers’ Week.

The new Zombie Apocalypse event, which takes place today, is based on the films 28 Days Later and Shaun of the Dead, and will see students overcome a series of tasks around the campus while being chased by “zombies”.

The campus has been divided into different zones – eight of which contain a challenge for freshers to complete.

Among them is a challenge to retrieve a skin sample from a recently deceased person – a freshers helper covered with latex skin. This skin sample will be given to a “scientist” for experimentation before the next challenge is issued.

The event also ties in with a safe drinking campaign that has been running at the university throughout Freshers’ Week.

The hunt kicks off at 2pm.
