Youngsters are all ears for big fundraiser

CHILDREN from the Capital are being urged to ask their schools to sign up for a world record-breaking attempt to help raise money for a deaf healthcare charity.

SignHealth, which provides advocacy, counselling and mental health services for deaf adults and children, is hoping 175,000 youngsters will participate in its sign2sing event.

Rowena Dean, head of marketing at SignHealth, said: “We are inviting schools from the city to sign up and help raise money for SignHealth.

“The money raised from the event will help us continue our work helping to improve the mental and physical health and well-being of deaf people, including deaf children, in Edinburgh.”

Schools can register their interest for February’s event at www.sign2sing.org.uk.
