Woman sexually assaulted in Moray’s Cooper Park

GRAMPIAN Police have launched an investigation after a young woman was the victim of a serious sexual assault at a popular public park in Moray.

The 20 year-old woman was attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning in Cooper Park in Elgin.

A spokesman for Grampian Police said: “The male responsible is described as slim build with a moustache, wearing a dark coloured hooded top. Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact Elgin CID on the Grampian Police non emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
