Woman hurt in car smash

A 56-YEAR-OLD woman has been treated in hospital for face and head injuries after a two-vehicle smash in West Lothian.

Medics and firefighters rushed to the scene of the crash on the B9080 road between Winchburgh and Linlithgow after receiving an emergency call at around 6.45pm yesterday.

It is understood the incident involved a car and a van. The female casualty and was taken by medics to the Royal Infirmary for further treatment.

Fire crews from Broxburn and South Queensferry attended the incident.
