Woman arrested over 23-year-old’s death in flat disturbance

A WOMAN has been arrested in connection with the death of a 23-year-old man after a disturbance at a flat in the East End of Glasgow.

Jordan McGuire, 23, from Ballantrae, died after being found with serious injuries at the flat in Vesalius Street, Shettleston, early on Thursday.

Strathclyde Police said a 31-year-old woman had been arrested and was being held in police custody.

The woman is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow. A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death on Friday.

In a separate incident, the death of a man found in a tenement doorway is being treated as unexplained. The 46-year-old was found on Chancellor Street in the Partick area of Glasgow at 1.35am yesterday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Michael McCullagh said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries including going door to door, to establish what happened.”
