Wedded bliss for just £6,000 on eBay
SCOTLAND'S first ready-made wedding went on sale yesterday, with a £6,000 price tag.
The package includes a civil ceremony at Lickleyhead Castle in Aberdeenshire, plus accommodation for 14 guests as well as meals, a wedding cake and champagne.
The idea was dreamt up by wedding planner Deborah Fowler, 28, who is selling the package on eBay, the internet auction site.
She said: "You can buy just about anything on the internet these days, so why not a wedding?
"It's designed for a couple who have been thinking about getting married for a long time but have never got round to organising it.
"Doing it this way will be totally hassle-free, because I've done all the hard work for them. All they need to do is turn up."
Ms Fowler, of Banchory in Aberdeenshire, has run a company called Venus Wedding Plan with her sister for four years.
On offer in the package is the hire of the castle from Friday, 16 November to the following Monday. The couple will also get flowers, photos and all the legal documents.
