Voting begins in hunt for greatest ever Leithers
VOTING has begun for an award which will determine the greatest Leithers of all time.
The congregation of South Leith Parish Church this week received ballot papers for Pillars of Our Community – an award being run to mark the 400th anniversary of the church.
A shortlist includes former Hibs player Pat Stanton and musicians The Proclaimers.
Voting slips allow members to chose one person from six categories – arts, business, church, community, politics and sport – to determine the gold medallists.
