Voter bags a Stella prize
THE winner of a competition to encourage people to check they were registered to vote has collected her prize.
Stella Waugh, from Loanhead, won a PlayStation 3 from Midlothian Council as part of its Electoral Registration Competition.
Entrants were encouraged to phone or e-mail the council in the run-up to the May general election, to make sure they were on the voters' roll and could exercise their franchise.
Mrs Waugh received her prize from Midlothian Council chief executive Kenneth Lawrie.
