Vlad gets all-clear for election candidates

HEARTS owner Vladimir Romanov has been given the all clear by Lithuania’s government to propose candidates in the country’s upcoming elections.

Romanov cannot run for president himself due to his being born in Russia but he says he will be the “ideological leader” of the Lithuanian People’s Party which he founded this year, it has been reported.

Lithuanian political analyst Gintaras Aleknonis has said it will be a “banker’s party” and “could become only a tool for Romanov’s whims”.
