Virgin sorry for Boyle blackout

VIRGIN Media has apologised to Susan Boyle fans after the recording of her latest Britain's Got Talent performance was blacked out on its on-demand service.

Viewers hoping to catch a replay of the Blackburn-born star's second appearance on the ITV talent show saw the screen go black as her semi-final winning performance was being introduced.

However, viewers were still able to hear her voice and a message was occasionally displayed over the black screen reminding replay viewers that voting lines had closed.

A Virgin Media spokesman confirmed that the firm was aware of the fault, and an amended recording was to be put up last night.

The spokesman added: "Fans will be able to rewatch the show for another five days through ITV Player on Virgin Media TV on demand.

"We apologise for the temporary inconvenience."
