FATHER-of-two Steven Bottomley has won a competition to name a plane to celebrate the launch of Virgin Atlantic’s first ever domestic service from Edinburgh to London.

Mr Bottomley, who lives in Barnton, found out he had won the Evening News-backed competition with his Maggie May suggestion on his 49th birthday.

He said: “It’s one of those money can’t buy type things. We live quite close to the flight path so we will be able to see the Virgin planes flying past.”
