Villagers to view future

PLANS for the future of a Midlothian village are to be put before local residents next week.

The Newtongrange Neighbourhood Plan will be launched between 2pm and 5pm next Wednesday at Newtongrange Library.

The plan is the result of a number of local consultation events which took place in November last year and February this year.

Councillor Catherine Johnstone, cabinet member for regeneration, said: “It’s great to see the neighbourhood plan come to fruition as a lot of hard work has been put into consulting with the local community to get their views on improvements.”
