Vicky will be laid to rest in her father's burial plot

SCHOOLGIRL Vicky Hamilton will be laid to rest in her father's funeral plot later this week, it emerged last night.

The remains of the 15-year-old were found about two weeks ago - 16 years after she disappeared from Bathgate, West Lothian.

Her body was discovered in the garden of a house in Margate, Kent, alongside those of student, Dinah McNicol.

Peter Tobin, 61, has been charged with the murder of Vicky.

Last night, her father Michael Hamilton said the funeral would take place on Friday, and she would be laid to rest in the plot where he also wishes to be buried.

Her final resting place will be at Grand Sable cemetery in Polmont, Stirlingshire, not far from the former family home in Redding, Falkirk.

It emerged last week that Vicky's family had been divided over where her body should be buried.

Mr Hamilton said he wanted her to be buried at the cemetery in Polmont, but her sisters, Sharon and Lindsay, and brother, Lee, wanted her to be buried alongside her mother, Janette, at Muiravonside cemetery near Linlithgow.

Mr Hamilton said the family now agreed Vicky should be laid to rest in the Polmont cemetery.

The 57-year-old said: "It will take place in the cemetery on Friday."

And of the rift in the family, he said: "That has all been cleared up - that is no problem now."

Vicky was last seen on 10 February, 1991, in Bathgate, sitting at a bus stop.
