Van collision man dies

A PENSIONER who was injured in a road collision in West Lothian has died.

James McNabb was involved in a collision with a white Peugeot van at 11.40pm on Saturday in Main Street, East Whitburn.

The 77-year-old was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with head and leg injuries. He died last night.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to trace the driver and occupants of a silver seven-seater vehicle which is known to have travelled past the scene almost immediately after the collision before turning onto Hen’s Nest Road.”
