Two men in court over flats death

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man whose body was discovered at a block of flats.

Dodou Leigh, 30, a Gambian national, was found dead in a flat in Hawkhill Close in the Leith area of Edinburgh at about 8:15pm last Tuesday.

George Thomson, 29, from Port Seton, East Lothian, and Roche Thomson, 24, from London, were charged with murder when they appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday. They made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody. The case was continued for further examination.

Both men are scheduled to appear in court again next Tuesday.
