Two elderly woman injured in car crash
TWO elderly women had to be cut free from a car and taken to hospital after it crashed into a ditch last night.
Fife Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at around 10.40pm and had to cut the roof off the vehicle to free the women, aged 77 and 68.
Police said only one vehicle was in the accident on the A915 near Wester Newburn Farm in Upper Largo, Fife.
The women were taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for observation.
One has a back injury and the other has a head injury, police said.
