Two arrested at Faslane protest
TWO demonstrators were arrested yesterday in the latest anti-nuclear protest at Faslane Naval Base.
Bruce Gagnon, a US protester, and Dave Webb, a British activist, were arrested blockading the entrance to the base, home to Trident nuclear submarines.
The two were detained at about 3.15pm after Gagnon gave a talk about the increasing militarisation of space.
The year-long campaign of protests, dubbed Faslane 365, has involved people from as far away as Japan.
