Two airlifted after fall on mountain

A FATHER and daughter were airlifted off a Scottish mountain yesterday after falling at least 20 metres.

The 26-year-old woman suffered head injuries and a suspected broken leg. Her father had a badly gashed his leg. They were climbing the 958 metres high Bruach na Frithe in the Cuillins range on Skye when they fell, just 100 metres from the summit.

Stornoway Coastguard search and rescue helicopter went to the scene with two members of Skye Mountain Rescue.
