Troubles in prospect at artist’s show

ARTIST Roderick Buchanan has unveiled a powerful and thought-provoking installation that examines the legacy of the Troubles in Northern Ireland, which will open to the public at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery next week.

Legacy explores the cultural connections that link communities in Scotland and Northern Ireland, by following two Scottish flute bands as they prepare for and take part in Loyalist and Republican parades in 2009 and 2010.
