Traverse Theatre in awards coup
THE Traverse Theatre is leading the way in the nominations for this year's Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland (CATS).
The theatre, which showcases new writing, dominates the shortlist, with nominations in six out of the ten categories.
The Traverse also received the largest number of nominations for any one show, with The Dark Things appearing in six categories. Artistic director Dominic Hill is shortlisted twice – as best director for The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? and for The Dark Things. Both plays are also up for the best production award.
The CATS awards will be presented at the Festival Theatre on 13 June at 3pm, and members of the public are welcome to attend. Tickets cost 14.
