Teenager hit bar worker on the head

An UNDERAGE drinker lashed out when a barmaid tried to take empty glasses away at closing time.

Lauren Gillogley, 17, threw her drink over pub worker Pauline Foley before grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to the floor.

She then repeatedly punched the barmaid on the head and kicked her on the body as she lay on the ground.

Livingston Sheriff Court was told that Gillogley and two pals had arrived at the Highlander Hotel in Armadale, West Lothian, at 12.40am in the morning on April 15.

Fining her £235, Sheriff Douglas Kinloch said: “The person who wrote the social inquiry report believes that you are remorseful about this incident and that you’re motivated to make some changes in your life to prevent this sort of thing happening again.”
